Jeff Pappas is a successful entrepreneur who’s held executive positions with multiple growth brands over the past 30 years; this is his first book. Murphy Hooker, who collaborated on the book, is an award-winning screenwriter and ghostwriter of more than a dozen published books, including two books for New York Times bestselling authors.
Jeff Pappas has more than thirty years of entrepreneurial experience with a strong focus on the restaurant and service industries. He has held executive positions with multiple growth brands with responsibility for recruiting, training, unit expansion, franchising and all facets of operations. Jeff has particular skill in start-up and turn-around scenarios.
Jeff’s entrepreneur experience encompasses a wide-range of business types including service businesses and many small and large food and beverage concepts. Included in Jeff’s past restaurant history is developing/opening numerous restaurants in Las Vegas and around the country, working with celebrity chefs such as Douglas Rodriquez and Wolfgang Puck (Puck Express)
Jeff has been involved for over 26 years in national/international franchising sales, management, and ownership, and has 22 years of food and beverage experience. Jeff has also launched successful start-up concepts and turn-around projects at MGM, Caesars and Planet Hollywood.
From 2011-13, Jeff teamed up with NFL Hall of Fame friend Franco Harris to organize and operate an annual Super Bowl Celebrity Golf tournament sponsored by Soldiers Angels (www.soldiersangels.org) with all proceeds going to Soldiers Angels, one of the leading veterans support groups in the US. Franco and Jeff were honored with a plaque from Soldiers Angels in 2013 at their annual gala celebration. Jeff was also one of the co-founders of Heroes and Horses (www.heroesandhorses.org) in 2013. Jeff left the organization in 2014 due to time constraints but still supports the organization. Heroes and Horses is now operated by former Seal Team 6 veteran, Micah Fink (Executive Director). Jeff currently works with Spirit Therapies in Las Vegas, a local non-profit focusing on combat veterans interactions with horses, providing instruction and advice on care and riding lessons/advice with horses and veterans suffering from PTSD.
